What Counts as Custom-Made
Non-tailored items are those made to our standard specification with no personalization. These may be returned within 30 days in original, unworn, and unaltered condition, as set out below. If you are not certain which category your order falls into, ask us before you place it. We would rather answer that question early than have you discover the answer afterward.
Individual Customers
1. Custom-Made Garments
All garments are produced specifically for each client using their measurements, selected fabric, and design choices. Because of this, custom-made garments cannot be returned or refunded once production has begun. These garments are made exclusively for you and cannot be resold.
If there is any issue with fit or workmanship, we will work with you to resolve it through alterations, guidance, or remake support where appropriate.
2. Order Cancellations
You may cancel your order free of charge within 24 hours of placing it. After this window, production or fabric sourcing may have already begun, and the following applies:
- Cancellations made after 24 hours but before the test garment is dispatched may be subject to a partial charge to cover materials already used.
- Orders cannot be cancelled once the test garment has been shipped, as the final garment will already be in production.
To request a cancellation, please email customerservice@baronboutique.com with your order number as soon as possible.
3. Returns — Non-Tailored Products & Accessories
Our standard return policy applies to all non-tailored products including scarves, ties, pocket squares, and other accessories.
- Return window: Within 30 days of delivery.
- Condition: Items must be in their original, unworn, and unaltered condition.
- Method: By mail. Email customerservice@baronboutique.com with your order number to begin the process.
- Return shipping cost: The customer is responsible for return shipping unless the return is due to an error on our part.
- Refund: Full refund to your original payment method within 14 days of us receiving the returned item.
Holiday Return Extension
Orders placed between November 1st and December 31st may be returned up to January 31st of the following year.
4. Damaged or Defective Items
If your item arrives damaged or with a fabrication defect, please notify us within 7 days of delivery by emailing customerservice@baronboutique.com with your order number and photos of the issue.
In these cases, you may choose either a full refund or a replacement garment at no cost to you. We will also cover the return shipping.
5. Try-On (Test) Garment Service
We offer a complimentary try-on garment service to help perfect the fit and measurements of your final garment before it is made. Shipping for both the test garment and the final garment is included in the flat-rate shipping fee.
You are not required to return the test garment. Please visit our How It Works page for a full explanation of the ordering process.
6. Alterations
Local Tailor Reimbursement
If your final garment requires minor fit adjustments, you are welcome to visit a local tailor. We offer reimbursement for the cost of local alterations up to the following amounts:
| Garment Type | Max. Reimbursement |
|---|---|
| Suit (2 or 3 piece) | USD $50 |
| Jacket or Blazer | USD $35 |
| Pants | USD $15 |
| Shirt | USD $10 |
| Vest | USD $10 |
To claim reimbursement, please submit the completed Alterations Form along with your tailor’s receipt to customerservice@baronboutique.com.
Please note: garments that have been altered locally are exempt from the ‘unaltered condition’ requirement for alteration reimbursement claims, but are not eligible for return or refund.
Ongoing Fit Support
If your measurements change over time, we offer continued support with alterations. Standard shipping charges will apply for sending the garment back and forth.
If your local tailor is unable to achieve the fit you need, please send us photos of yourself wearing the garment and we will advise on the best course of action.
7. Fabric Sourcing
In some cases, fabric may be provided by the client or sourced locally or internationally on the client’s behalf. Fabric sourcing is carried out as part of the overall tailoring service and not as a standalone product sale.
8. Customs & Import Duties
Import duties and customs charges are levied by your destination country’s customs authorities. These charges are entirely outside Baron Boutique’s control and are not included in your order total or shipping fee. Customs charges are the customer’s sole responsibility and are non-refundable by Baron Boutique.
Whether or not a customs charge is applied can vary significantly; many shipments to the same destination are cleared without any duty, while others may be assessed a charge. This inconsistency is determined entirely by local customs authorities and is not something we can predict or influence.
We strongly recommend checking the import duty regulations applicable in your country before placing your order.
9. Refunds
Refunds apply only to eligible returned items such as non-tailored products.
Custom-made garments are not eligible for refunds once production has begun.
Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will process your refund to the original payment method within 14 days. You will be notified by email once your refund has been issued.
Return shipping charges are refunded only when a return is the result of an error or defect on our part.
Customs and import duty charges paid to couriers or customs authorities are non-refundable by Baron Boutique.
Business, Wholesale and Program Orders
1. Who this section covers
The policy above is written for individual customers ordering through baronboutique.com. It does not govern business programs. If you are ordering under any of the following, the terms agreed in writing for your program apply instead of the consumer terms above:
- Retail and wholesale partnerships
- Private label and white label production
- Corporate gifting programs
- Designer Program production runs
- Stock produced for you and held by us for fulfillment
Where your written terms are silent on something, the terms in this section apply.
2. Production for a business partner is not returnable
Everything we make for a business partner is produced to that partner’s specification after the order is confirmed. It cannot be returned or refunded once production has begun. This covers garments cut to measurement, pieces made in your colors, anything carrying your label or logo, and anything produced to a design created for you.
3. Samples
Samples are charged, and the charge is not refundable. A sample is a real piece made by the same hands as the production run, and it stays with you to handle, show, and sell from. We recommend one for anything you intend to reorder.
4. Deposits and cancellation
Orders begin on a deposit, with the balance settled in full before the final shipment leaves us. If you need to cancel, tell us as early as you can. Before cutting begins we will refund your deposit less the cost of any materials already bought or committed for your order. Once cutting has begun the order cannot be cancelled, because the cloth has been used.
5. Checking your delivery
- Visible problems, within 14 days of delivery. Damage in transit, short counts, wrong items, or work that does not match the agreed specification. Please keep the outer packaging until the matter is settled, because couriers require it to process a claim and we cannot recover a transit loss without it.
- Manufacturing faults that only appear later, within 30 days of delivery. Construction, stitching, finishing, or dye faults that were not visible on unpacking.
Email customerservice@baronboutique.com with your order or program reference, the quantity affected, and photographs of the issue.
6. What we do about it
Where the fault is ours, we remake the affected pieces at no charge to you and cover shipping. Where remaking would miss a deadline that matters to your business, we will agree a credit or a refund on the affected pieces instead, whichever is more use to you. We do not require faulty goods to be returned before we begin work on the replacement. If a fault appears beyond 30 days, tell us anyway. We made the piece and we would rather know. Cases outside the window are handled individually rather than by rule.
7. Stock we hold for you
Stock produced for you and held in our workshop remains your property. There is no storage charge up to roughly 25 to 30 pieces. Above that a storage fee is agreed at the time, based on the quantity and how long it needs to be held. Shipping on each outgoing order is paid either by the customer who places it or by you, whichever you prefer.
8. Alteration reimbursement does not apply to business orders
The local tailor reimbursement scheme set out above is offered to individual customers buying for themselves. It does not apply to wholesale, private label, corporate, or Designer Program orders. How you handle fit and alterations for your own customers is yours to decide, and we will support you on construction questions whenever they come up.
9. Duties and taxes
Import duties and customs charges are set by the destination country and are the importer’s responsibility. They are not included in your quote and are not refundable by us.
