Most grooms at destination weddings wear the same suit they could have worn at any church ceremony in their hometown. This three-piece ensemble is different in a way that requires no explanation. A mandarin-collar tunic in Super 130s Fresco wool, tailored trousers, and a floor-length cape lined in pure satin silk, built to your measurements in 13 colors. We send a free test suit first. You board the plane knowing the fit is right.
Follow these simple steps to ensure your custom garment fits you perfectly. All you need is a flexible measuring tape.
You do not have to get this perfect. Send us your best measurements and we craft a free test garment to your numbers first, so the fit is confirmed on your body before we cut your final cloth. Every piece is custom made to your measurements, and the test garment is yours to keep.

Start measuring from the top of your shoulder, right next to the base of your neck.
Measure straight down along the front of your body to where you want the jacket to end.
Keep the tape straight and do not curve it around the body.
Neck Circumference
Stand straight and look forward in a relaxed position.
Wrap the measuring tape around the base of your neck where a shirt collar would naturally sit.
Keep the tape level all the way around.
For comfort, leave space for one finger between the tape and your neck.
Shoulder Width Across the Back
Stand naturally with shoulders relaxed, do not pull them back.
Measure from the edge of one shoulder to the edge of the other shoulder across your back.
Follow the natural curve of the shoulders for an accurate measurement.
Keep the tape flat and do not measure too high near the neck.
Desired Sleeve Length
Stand straight with your arm relaxed in a natural posture.
Start measuring from the edge of your shoulder where the sleeve seam would sit.
Measure down your arm to where you want the sleeve to end.
Keep the tape following the outside of the arm and avoid bending the elbow.

Keep the tape close to the body for an accurate rise measurement, without pulling it too tight.
Before You Order
Your questions, answered
Ordering a garment made to your measurements should feel reassuring, not nerve-racking. Here are the doubts men most often have, and exactly why you can set them aside.
I have never bought a suit I could not try on in a shop first. How do I know it will fit?
Because you do try it on first. Once you send your measurements, we make a free test garment in a stand-in cloth cut to your numbers and post it to you. You put it on at home, check the shoulders, chest, waist, and length, move around in it, and send us your notes and a couple of photos. Only once you are happy do we cut your final cloth, so the finished suit is not a leap of faith, it is a fit you have already seen and approved on your own body.
I am worried I will measure myself wrong.
You do not have to get it perfect. The videos and steps above walk you through each measurement one at a time, a friend or a local tailor can help with the ones that are easier with a second pair of hands, and if you are unsure you can send your best numbers. The free test garment exists precisely to catch anything slightly off, we see the fit on your body and adjust before your final cloth is touched, so a first-try measurement is completely normal.
I have always struggled to find clothes that fit me. Broad shoulders, an athletic build, a longer or shorter torso, or a fuller waist. Is this really for someone like me?
It is made for exactly you. The men who fight hardest with off-the-rack are the ones who benefit most here, because there is no standard size to squeeze into. We cut to your proportions, broad shoulders with a trimmer waist, a fuller stomach with a shorter jacket length, a long or short back, so the garment follows your body instead of forcing your body into a shape it is not. There is nothing wrong with your build; there are only your measurements.
My body is not symmetrical, one shoulder sits lower or my posture is not textbook. Can you cut for that?
Yes. A garment made to your measurements is built for real bodies, not idealized ones. Note anything particular in your order, or simply show us on the test garment, and we adjust the cut, a lower shoulder, a fuller seat, a forward stance, and confirm it before the final cloth is cut. This is exactly what the process does that a size on a rack never can.
It is a lot to spend on something custom made. What is my safety net?
Your safety net is that nothing final, and nothing costly, is cut until you have approved the fit on the free test garment. You are not paying for a gamble, you are paying for a garment whose fit you have already confirmed on your own body. And a well-made piece that actually fits gets worn for years, so the cost per wear is usually far lower than the compromise suits and jackets that sit unworn in the wardrobe.
I need this for a wedding or a specific event and I am anxious it will not be right on the day.
Tell us the date when you order and we plan the whole timeline back from it, including the free test-garment stage, so there is time to confirm the fit and make any adjustments with room to spare. For a dated event we recommend ordering two to three months ahead. Because you approve the fit on the test garment before the final piece is cut, you are not walking into your event hoping it fits, you already know it does.
What if it arrives and something is still not quite right?
The final garment is cut to the exact fit you signed off on the test garment, so surprises are rare by design. If a small tweak is ever needed, your finished piece carries seam allowances so a local tailor can fine-tune it, and you can always contact us and we will help make it right. You are never left alone with something that does not work.
What if my weight changes before the event, or later on?
Take your measurements as close to the date as you can, and if your size shifts before we cut the final cloth we simply work to your new numbers. For afterwards, your finished garment is made with seam allowances so a local tailor can take it in or let it out within reason, and we keep your measurements on record, so ordering another piece that fits is simple whenever you want one.
Do I really need someone to help me, or can I do this alone?
You can absolutely do it alone. Most measurements are straightforward to take on yourself with the videos above, and only a few, like across the back and shoulders, are simply easier with a friend holding the tape. Either way, the free test garment is the real check: whatever you measure, you confirm the fit on your body before anything final is made.

The Destination Wedding Suit with Cape: Because You Flew There to Be Remembered
Most grooms at destination weddings wear the same suit they could have worn at any church ceremony in their hometown. Navy or charcoal, off the rack or rented, indistinguishable from every other wedding they have attended. They flew to Santorini or the Amalfi Coast or a beach in the Caribbean, and their suit could have been bought at a mall. The setting is extraordinary. The suit is not.
The 2026 groom trend is explicit: your suit should be unmistakably yours. Wedding industry publications agree that grooms are moving toward statement pieces, breathable destination-appropriate fabrics, and looks that will not be confused with anyone else at the ceremony. The problem is that most of what passes for a statement is just a different shade of the same silhouette.
This three-piece ensemble is different in a way that requires no explanation. A mandarin-collar tunic in Super 130s Fresco wool, tailored trousers, and a floor-length cape lined in pure satin silk. Built to your measurements. In 13 Fresco wool colors. On a wedding day designed to be remembered, this is the suit that ensures it is.

Free Test Suit: The Fit Has to Be Right Before You Board the Plane
Most grooms ordering a suit for a destination wedding do not discover the fit problem until they are standing at the venue, thousands of miles from anyone who can fix it. A sleeve that runs long. A tunic that pulls across the shoulders. Trousers that break at the wrong point. These are not problems you can resolve on the morning of the ceremony.
Before we cut your final suit, we build a complete test version, tunic, trousers, and cape, in cotton, to your initial measurements, and ship it to you via trackable courier. You try it on. You check every element, the shoulder line, the mandarin collar height, the cape drape, the trouser break. You send us your notes and we correct every adjustment in the pattern before we touch the final Fresco wool. The test suit is yours to keep. No return required.
You will board the plane knowing the fit is right. That is the point of this process for a destination wedding.
The Cape: What Makes This Suit Impossible to Forget
The cape is floor-length, cut from the same Fresco wool as the tunic and trousers, with a full-length pleated back. It is fully lined in pure satin silk, which adds weight, drape, and movement. Secured by a hand-made silver metallic brooch and chain at the chest, it falls cleanly and sweeps when you walk. In photographs, it reads as architecture.
Most grooms at destination weddings are trying to look their best within a narrow range of acceptable options. The tunic and cape exist outside that range. Not loudly, not theatrically, but definitively. You do not have to explain the choice. The cape explains itself.
The cape and tunic can be ordered in the same Fresco wool color for a unified look, or in different colors for a deliberate contrast. The satin silk lining is a separate selection from 20 colors, visible when the cape moves. It is the detail that rewards a close look.
Who This Suit Is For
The Groom Who Wants to Be Remembered
You chose a destination wedding because the ordinary setting was not right for you. Your suit should reflect the same decision. You do not want something that looks like every other wedding you have attended. You want something that, ten years later, people still remember. This is that suit.
The Groom Who Has Tried to Find Something Different
You have looked. Bold colors, interesting lapels, textured fabrics. They all still look like wedding suits. This does not look like a wedding suit that has been given a different color. It is a different silhouette entirely. The tunic, the mandarin collar, the floor-length cape. No one else at your wedding will be wearing anything remotely like it.
The Groom Who Knows About Fabric
You know that Fresco wool is not what most suit sellers mean when they say breathable. It is an open-weave, high-twist cloth, specifically engineered for heat and outdoor wear. It resists wrinkle when it travels. It does not trap heat. For a ceremony in Santorini in July or on a beach in the Caribbean, this is the fabric the situation actually calls for.
The Collector and Cosplay Enthusiast
The silhouette of this ensemble has resonance beyond the wedding context, and many of our customers order it precisely for that reason. The tunic, trousers, and cape work as a single cohesive statement piece for conventions, themed events, and collector purposes. Ordered in different Fresco wool colors, the ensemble can be configured in multiple interpretations while retaining the same precise construction.

Dress the Whole Wedding, Not Just the Groom
A destination wedding is not just a suit — it is a coordinated visual statement that lives in photographs for decades. The groom makes the first decision. The wedding party, the guests, and everyone standing beside you build on it. These are four garments that belong at the same occasion — made to measure, built for ceremony, each carrying a different silhouette. If you have not yet committed to your own attire, every one of these is designed to be the garment people remember.

Questions About the Cape Wedding Suit
Why is Fresco wool specifically good for a destination or outdoor wedding?
Fresco wool is a high-twist, open-weave cloth. The open weave allows air to circulate through the fabric rather than trapping heat against the body, which is the defining problem with standard wool at an outdoor wedding in warm weather. It also has natural wrinkle resistance because the high twist of the yarns helps the fabric spring back to shape. For a suit that needs to travel, stay pressed through hours outdoors, and look correct in photographs taken at any point in the day, Fresco wool is the correct fabric choice in a way that most alternatives are not.
Can the tunic and cape be different colors?
Yes. The tunic and trousers are one fabric selection, and the cape is a separate selection. Both come in the same 13 Fresco wool colors. You can order the full ensemble in black for a unified look, or choose a contrasting combination. The satin silk lining of the cape is a third independent selection from 20 colors, visible when the cape moves. The price is the same regardless of color combination.
How does the cape attach and stay in place?
The cape is secured at the chest by a hand-made silver metallic brooch and chain fastening. It is not attached to the tunic itself, so it moves independently. The floor-length pleated back gives it weight and drape so it falls cleanly rather than floating or moving unpredictably. In movement, it sweeps naturally. In photographs, especially at outdoor venues with any wind, it creates a significant visual effect.
What does the free test suit process involve for a wedding order?
You enter your measurements on the product page when you order. We build a complete test version, tunic, trousers, and cape, in cotton, to your initial measurements and ship it via trackable courier. You try it on, check every element, and send us your adjustment notes. We apply every correction to the final pattern before cutting the Fresco wool. The test suit is yours to keep. For a wedding order, we strongly recommend allowing enough time for the full process. If you have a wedding date, tell us when you order and we will confirm the timeline honestly.
How long does the full process take?
Allow 6 to 8 weeks from order to final suit in your hands. The test suit takes 3 to 4 weeks to build and ship. Once you confirm fit, the final suit takes 3 to 4 weeks in production. For a destination wedding, order as early as possible and tell us your date when you do. We will confirm whether the timeline is workable before you commit.
Can I order this in a color other than black?
Yes. The 13 available Fresco wool colors include black, charcoal, dark grey, grey, light grey, navy blue, beige, white, tan, chocolate brown, blue, purple, and red. The cape and tunic can be ordered in the same color or different colors. The satin silk lining of the cape is a separate selection from 20 colors. All combinations are the same price.
Can I wear this suit outside the wedding context?
Yes, and many of our customers do. The tunic and trousers function as a distinctive formal ensemble independent of the cape. The cape works as a statement outerwear piece for black-tie events, theatrical occasions, and collector use. Many customers order this ensemble with the wedding as the primary context and subsequent events in mind. The construction quality, seam allowances, and Fresco wool hold up across years of wear.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. Both the test suit and the final suit ship worldwide via trackable courier. For a destination wedding, both shipments can go to different addresses if needed. Delivery times vary by destination.

Suit Fit Guide
Women’s Suit Fit Guide
Choosing the right fit is essential in creating your custom suit. It determines the silhouette and how your test garment will feel before final tailoring.
Slim Fit
Streamlined and tapered for a sleek silhouette. The jacket is closely fitted through the shoulders, chest, and waist, with narrower sleeves and higher armholes. Pants sit at the waist and follow a slim line through the hips and thighs, with a narrow leg opening.
Best for: A lean frame or those who prefer a sharply tailored, body-contouring look.
Standard Fit
Softly tailored for a balanced, classic silhouette. The jacket offers gentle shaping at the waist with a natural fit through the shoulders and chest. Sleeves are slightly tapered with standard armholes. Pants sit comfortably at the waist with a straight fit through the hips and thighs and a moderate leg opening.
Best for: An average build or anyone seeking a versatile, comfortable fit for business or everyday wear.
Relaxed Fit
Designed with extra ease for all-day comfort. The jacket has a looser cut through the shoulders, chest, and waist, with fuller sleeves and lower armholes. Pants offer a relaxed fit from waist to hem, with added room in the hips, thighs, and leg opening for easy movement.
Best for: Those who prioritize comfort or prefer a roomier silhouette, particularly around the waist and shoulders.
Women’s Suit Fit Guide
How a Woman’s Suit Should Fit
A suit is judged in seconds and worn for hours, so the fit has to be right in both senses: sharp enough to command a room, and comfortable enough to sit, reach, and move all day. The good news with a custom-made suit is that fit is not a gamble. There are no standard sizes to squeeze into, you tell us the fit you want and your measurements, and we cut the jacket and the trousers or skirt to your body. Before we cut your final cloth we send a free test garment, so the fit is confirmed on you first.
This guide explains the three fits we offer and the points to check so your suit sits the way you want it to.
Step One
Choose your fit
Slim Fit
Closely tailored through the waist and hips with a defined waist and a lean trouser or skirt line. The sharpest, most modern silhouette. Best if you like a body-skimming look and are comfortable with less ease.
Standard (Classic) Fit
Shaped and tailored, but with a little more ease through the body for comfort and movement. The most versatile choice and the one most people are happiest in, flattering without feeling restrictive.
Relaxed Fit
The most room through the body, with a softer, easier line and a straighter trouser. Ideal if you like to layer, prefer a contemporary oversized look, or simply want maximum comfort.
Step Two
The fit checkpoints
Shoulders
The seam sits right at the edge of your shoulder, where the arm meets the body, with no overhang and no pulling. This is the one line we cut precisely to you, because the shoulder is the hardest area to alter later.
Bust & chest
The jacket closes cleanly with no strain or gaping at the button and no pulling across the bust. A well-cut women’s jacket shapes around the bust rather than flattening or straining over it.
Waist
The jacket nips in at your natural waist for shape, closely on a slim fit, gently on a classic fit. You should be able to fasten it and still sit comfortably.
Length, sleeve & leg
The jacket ends around the top of the hip and the sleeve finishes at the wrist bone. Trousers break lightly at the shoe or skim to a clean ankle; a skirt sits at your chosen length. You choose all of these.
Every suit is made to your measurements with no standard sizing, in the fit you choose. A free test garment confirms the shoulders, bust, waist, and length on your body before your final cloth is cut, and the test garment is yours to keep.
Your Worries, Answered
The doubts most women have, and why you can relax
I have never bought a suit I could not try on first. How do I know it will fit?
Because you do try it on first. After you send your measurements, we make a free test garment in a stand-in cloth to those numbers and post it to you. You put it on at home, check the shoulders, bust, waist, and length, and send us your notes and a couple of photos. Only once you are happy do we cut your final cloth, so the finished suit is not a leap of faith, it is a fit you have already seen and approved on your own body.
I need this for a specific occasion and I am terrified it will not be right on the day.
Tell us the date when you order and we plan the whole timeline back from it, including the free test-garment stage, so there is time to confirm the fit and make any adjustments with room to spare. For a dated event we recommend ordering two to three months ahead. Because you approve the fit on the test garment before the final suit is cut, you are not walking into your occasion hoping it fits, you already know it does.
I am nervous I will measure myself wrong.
You do not have to be perfect. Our guide walks you through each measurement, a friend or a local tailor can help with the tricky ones, and if you are unsure you can send your best numbers. The free test garment exists to catch any small error before it matters, we see the fit on your body and adjust, so an imperfect first measurement is completely normal and nothing to worry about.
I have always struggled to find suits that fit my body. Is this really for someone like me?
It is made for exactly you. The women who struggle most with off-the-rack, a fuller bust, a small waist, broad or narrow shoulders, a long or short torso, are the ones who benefit most, because we cut to your proportions instead of forcing you into a size. There is no shape that is wrong here; there are only your measurements.
My body is not a standard shape, one shoulder is higher, or I am fuller on top. Can you actually cut for that?
Yes. Custom-made is built for real bodies, not idealized ones. Note any asymmetry or particular concern in your order, or show us on the test garment, and we adjust the cut, a higher shoulder, a fuller bust, a shorter waist, and confirm it before the final cloth is touched. This is precisely what a bespoke process does that a size on a rack never can.
It is a lot to spend on something made just for me. What is my safety net?
Your safety net is that nothing final, and nothing costly, is cut until you have approved the fit on the free test garment. You are not paying for a gamble, you are paying for a suit whose fit you have already confirmed on your own body. And a well-made suit that actually fits gets worn for years, so the cost per wear is usually far lower than the compromise suits that sit unworn in the wardrobe.
What if the suit arrives and I am not happy with it?
The final suit is cut to the exact fit you signed off on the test garment, so surprises are rare by design. If anything still needs a tweak, the finished suit carries generous seam allowances so a local tailor can fine-tune it, and you can always contact us and we will help make it right. You are never left alone with a suit that does not work.
What if my weight changes before the event, or afterwards?
Take your measurements as close to the event as you can, and if your size shifts before we cut the final cloth we simply adjust to your new numbers. For afterwards, the finished suit is made with seam allowances so a local tailor can take it in or let it out within reason, and we keep your measurements on record for any future pieces.
