How to Take Your Own Measurements for a Perfect Fit
All you need is a flexible measuring tape, a mirror, and ideally a friend to help with the shoulder and back measurements. Wear close-fitting clothing so the tape sits against your body, stand naturally with your weight even on both feet, and keep the tape level and snug with room for one finger. Stand straight with your arms relaxed and wrap the tape around the fullest part of your bust, keeping it level and snug with room for one finger.

How do I measure my bust, waist and length for a custom garment?
Use a flexible tape. For the bust, wrap it around the fullest part with the tape level. For the waist, measure the narrowest part, usually just above the belly button. For length, measure from the shoulder or natural waist down to your desired hem. Keep the tape level and snug with room for one finger, and measure over close-fitting clothing rather than bulky layers.
How do I measure my waist, hips, thighs and rise?

What do I need to measure myself?

How tight should the measuring tape be?
Snug but not tight. The tape should sit flat against your body with just enough room to slip one finger underneath. Pulling it too tight gives measurements that are too small, and leaving it loose makes the garment baggy.

Choose Your Lining
Lined to the Knee, Fully Lined or Unlined: Which Is Right for You?
A trouser lining does three jobs. It stops the wool from rubbing your skin, it lets the trouser slide over tights instead of clinging, and it takes the strain at the knee when you sit, so the front of the leg keeps its shape. Where the lining stops changes how the trouser feels. Write your choice in the comment box on the measurement form, at the same price.
Lined to the Knee (Standard)
The front of each leg is lined from the waist to just below the knee. It protects the knees from bagging and keeps the thighs smooth, while the lower leg stays unlined and breathes. The right choice for most offices, all year.
Fully Lined to the Hem
The lining runs all the way to the hem, so no wool touches your legs. Choose it if wool makes you itch, if you wear tights or sheer hosiery, or if you want a little more warmth in winter.
Unlined
No lining at all, for the lightest, coolest trouser in hot climates. Fine Super 160s wool is smooth enough that many women are comfortable without a lining.
Wool and Sensitive Skin
If Wool Makes You Itch
The prickle people feel from wool usually comes from thick fibers pressing on the skin. The finer the fiber, the softer it feels, and Super 160s is one of the finest grades used in trousers. Many women who avoid wool are comfortable in it.
If your skin is still sensitive, ask for the trousers to be fully lined. The lining becomes the only layer against your legs, so you get the drape and breathability of wool without it touching your skin. It is part of the service, at no extra cost.
The Cloth
100% Super 160s Wool, Not a Wool Blend
Many trousers sold as wool are wool blends: wool mixed with polyester or viscose to cut the cost. Blends can be easier to care for, but they often shine sooner, pill at the thighs and feel warmer and less breathable. These trousers are 100% wool.
The cloth is a 9 oz Super 160s worsted wool with a plain weave. That weight is light enough for heated offices and warm days, and the fine yarn gives it a smooth, soft hand and a clean drape that hangs straight from the hip. It is a seasonless cloth: you can wear it through most of the year, and full lining adds warmth when it is cold.

The doubts most women have, and why you can relax
Trousers never fit my waist and my hips at the same time. Am I just an awkward shape?

My trousers always gape at the back waist. Will this fix it?
