Follow these simple steps to ensure your custom garment fits you perfectly. All you need is a flexible measuring tape.
Measure across your back from the edge of one shoulder to the edge of the other, keeping the tape flat.
Measure from the edge of your shoulder, along the outside of your relaxed arm, to your desired sleeve length.
Measure around the armhole where the sleeve joins the body. Pass the tape from the top of the shoulder, under the armpit, and back to the starting point. Keep the tape comfortably snug. Measure over a lightweight shirt or close-fitting clothing, keeping your arm relaxed at your side.
With muscles relaxed, measure around the fullest part of your upper arm. Keep the tape snug with room for one finger.
Wrap the measuring tape around your wrist bone, where a watch would sit. Keep the tape snug but not tight. Leave room for one finger between the tape and your wrist for comfort
Measure from the highest point of the shoulder, next to the neck, over the fullest part of the bust, and straight down to your desired dress hem. Continue measuring to the finished length of the dress you wish to order, whether it’s a mini, knee-length, midi, maxi, or floor-length dress.
Measure around the base of your neck where a collar would sit, keeping the tape level with room for one finger.

All you need is a flexible measuring tape, a mirror, and ideally a friend to help with the shoulder and back measurements. Wear close-fitting clothing so the tape sits against your body, stand naturally with your weight even on both feet, and keep the tape level and snug with room for one finger. Below is every measurement we may ask for. You do not have to get each number perfect: we send a free test garment before cutting your final cloth, so the fit is confirmed on your body first.
Stand straight with your arms relaxed and wrap the tape around the fullest part of your bust, keeping it level and snug with room for one finger.
Measure around the narrowest part of your waist, usually just above the belly button, keeping the tape level with room for one finger.

A true wrap dress is held shut by a tie. That is what makes it easy to put on, and it is also why it opens at the V when you lean forward, slips off the shoulder by mid-afternoon and needs a pin before a meeting. Many women love the wrap shape and give up on it for work for exactly this reason.

Free Test Dress
A crossover front has to lie flat across the bust, which is where most wrap-style dresses fail: on a fuller bust the overlap pulls open and on a smaller one it folds into a ripple. On the test dress we set the depth and angle of the V for your bust, check that the collar stands close at the back of the neck without pressing, and place the waistband at your waist so the drape below it hangs straight.

The Collar
Most collared sheath dresses add a shirt collar or a notch collar to the front. This one does something different: the crossover V at the front rises into a stand collar at the back, so the neck is framed from behind while the front stays open.
