Most men’s dress pants sold as high-twist wool are not wool, they are synthetic blends that wrinkle by noon and sag by evening. Every trouser on this page is made to your measurements in Super 130s 100% high-twist wool, cut flat front and finished by hand. Before we cut your fabric, we send you a free test trouser to try on at home and confirm the fit – so the structural details that alterations cannot fix are right from the start.
Follow these simple steps to ensure your custom garment fits you perfectly. All you need is a flexible measuring tape.
You do not have to get this perfect. Send us your best measurements and we craft a free test garment to your numbers first, so the fit is confirmed on your body before we cut your final cloth. Every piece is custom made to your measurements, and the test garment is yours to keep.

Stand straight in a natural posture with your arms relaxed at your sides.
Start measuring from the top of your shoulder, right next to the base of your neck.

Keep the tape straight and do not curve it around the body.
Neck Circumference
Stand straight and look forward in a relaxed position.

Measure from the edge of one shoulder to the edge of the other shoulder across your back.
Follow the natural curve of the shoulders for an accurate measurement.
Keep the tape flat and do not measure too high near the neck.
Desired Sleeve Length
Stand straight with your arm relaxed in a natural posture.
Start measuring from the edge of your shoulder where the sleeve seam would sit.
Measure down your arm to where you want the sleeve to end.
Keep the tape following the outside of the arm and avoid bending the elbow.

Start measuring from the back waistband where you normally wear your trousers.
Bring the tape between your legs and up to the front waistband.
Keep the tape close to the body for an accurate rise measurement, without pulling it too tight.
Before You Order
Your questions, answered
Ordering a garment made to your measurements should feel reassuring, not nerve-racking. Here are the doubts men most often have, and exactly why you can set them aside.
I have never bought a suit I could not try on in a shop first. How do I know it will fit?
Because you do try it on first. Once you send your measurements, we make a free test garment in a stand-in cloth cut to your numbers and post it to you. You put it on at home, check the shoulders, chest, waist, and length, move around in it, and send us your notes and a couple of photos. Only once you are happy do we cut your final cloth, so the finished suit is not a leap of faith, it is a fit you have already seen and approved on your own body.
I am worried I will measure myself wrong.
You do not have to get it perfect. The videos and steps above walk you through each measurement one at a time, a friend or a local tailor can help with the ones that are easier with a second pair of hands, and if you are unsure you can send your best numbers. The free test garment exists precisely to catch anything slightly off, we see the fit on your body and adjust before your final cloth is touched, so a first-try measurement is completely normal.
I have always struggled to find clothes that fit me. Broad shoulders, an athletic build, a longer or shorter torso, or a fuller waist. Is this really for someone like me?
It is made for exactly you. The men who fight hardest with off-the-rack are the ones who benefit most here, because there is no standard size to squeeze into. We cut to your proportions, broad shoulders with a trimmer waist, a fuller stomach with a shorter jacket length, a long or short back, so the garment follows your body instead of forcing your body into a shape it is not. There is nothing wrong with your build; there are only your measurements.
My body is not symmetrical, one shoulder sits lower or my posture is not textbook. Can you cut for that?
Yes. A garment made to your measurements is built for real bodies, not idealized ones. Note anything particular in your order, or simply show us on the test garment, and we adjust the cut, a lower shoulder, a fuller seat, a forward stance, and confirm it before the final cloth is cut. This is exactly what the process does that a size on a rack never can.
It is a lot to spend on something custom made. What is my safety net?
Your safety net is that nothing final, and nothing costly, is cut until you have approved the fit on the free test garment. You are not paying for a gamble, you are paying for a garment whose fit you have already confirmed on your own body. And a well-made piece that actually fits gets worn for years, so the cost per wear is usually far lower than the compromise suits and jackets that sit unworn in the wardrobe.
I need this for a wedding or a specific event and I am anxious it will not be right on the day.
Tell us the date when you order and we plan the whole timeline back from it, including the free test-garment stage, so there is time to confirm the fit and make any adjustments with room to spare. For a dated event we recommend ordering two to three months ahead. Because you approve the fit on the test garment before the final piece is cut, you are not walking into your event hoping it fits, you already know it does.
What if it arrives and something is still not quite right?
The final garment is cut to the exact fit you signed off on the test garment, so surprises are rare by design. If a small tweak is ever needed, your finished piece carries seam allowances so a local tailor can fine-tune it, and you can always contact us and we will help make it right. You are never left alone with something that does not work.
What if my weight changes before the event, or later on?
Take your measurements as close to the date as you can, and if your size shifts before we cut the final cloth we simply work to your new numbers. For afterwards, your finished garment is made with seam allowances so a local tailor can take it in or let it out within reason, and we keep your measurements on record, so ordering another piece that fits is simple whenever you want one.
Do I really need someone to help me, or can I do this alone?
You can absolutely do it alone. Most measurements are straightforward to take on yourself with the videos above, and only a few, like across the back and shoulders, are simply easier with a friend holding the tape. Either way, the free test garment is the real check: whatever you measure, you confirm the fit on your body before anything final is made.
✂Free test garment firstWe only cut cloth after you confirm the fit
You are in two cities a week and your trousers need to survive a carry-on. High-twist wool is the cloth built for exactly this – it springs back from compression rather than holding the crease. You step off the plane, shake out the trouser, and walk into the meeting.
02
The Man Who Has Never Found Trousers That Fit
Athletic build. Long inseam. Narrow waist with fuller thighs. You have tried every cut at every retailer and the result is always a compromise at one end or the other. Bespoke is not a luxury for your proportions. It is the only category that addresses them from the beginning.
03
The Hybrid Worker Who Needs One Pair to Do Everything
Video call in the morning, client meeting in the afternoon, dinner after. You are not changing. These trousers are sharp enough for a board room, breathable enough for a full day, and hold their line through all of it without needing attention.
04
The One Who Assumed Custom Was Out of Reach
You assumed bespoke trousers cost three times this. These are $239, made to your measurements, with a free test trouser before any wool is cut. You are not paying for a brand name. You are paying for cloth and craft – which is exactly what you receive.
The Trouser That Actually Works
Off-the-Rack Dress Pants Are Lying to You About Two Things
Most “high twist wool” trousers sold at retail are actually wool-polyester blends engineered to look sharp briefly, then wrinkle, sag, and lose shape by the end of the day. True high-twist open-weave wool resists creasing naturally and stays breathable from morning to night.
The second issue is fit. Off-the-rack trousers are cut for averages, not real bodies. The waist can be altered, but the rise, seat, thigh room, and trouser balance are fixed into the pattern from the start. Ready-made trousers are not a foundation for great fit — they are its limit.
This is not the chemical “wrinkle resistant” finish applied to mass-market synthetic-blend trousers. That finish degrades with washing. This is structural crease resistance built into the yarn before the cloth is woven.
Every trouser on this page is cut to your measurements in Super 130s 100% high-twist wool. The construction is real. The fit is yours.

Before We Cut Your Fabric
The Free Test Trouser
The most expensive mistake in custom clothing is a structural error caught too late. A trouser with the wrong seat, an incorrect rise, or a silhouette that reads wide through the thigh cannot be corrected after the wool is cut. Alterations work at the edges of a garment. They do not reach the pattern.
Your commission begins with a test trouser made in a matching mid-weight cloth, cut to your initial measurements. You try it on at home. Check the seat height, thigh room, rise, break length, and the hang of the leg. Tell us what needs adjusting. We refine the pattern before your high-twist wool is touched.
The test trouser ships in 3 to 4 weeks. Your final trouser ships 3 to 4 weeks after you confirm the fit. The test trouser is yours to keep.
Choose Your Cloth and Lining
13 High-Twist Wool Colors. 34 Acetate Linings.
Thirteen high-twist wool fabrics ranging from precise office neutrals to structured pattern weaves. Thirty-four acetate lining options for the trouser interior, visible at the hem break when you sit or cross your legs.
Neutral Essentials
Gray
A versatile mid-gray that reads as professional in every context – board rooms, client meetings, and hybrid days that run long into the evening. Works with navy, charcoal, or burgundy above.
Charcoal
The most authoritative neutral in professional dress. Charcoal high-twist wool reads as a serious garment in any setting – paired with white, pale blue, or kept entirely in tonal grey.
Dark Tones
Dark Gray
Between mid-gray and charcoal – for those who want depth without going all the way. Reads as sharp through a full working day and crosses effortlessly into evening.
Black
A pure black flat-front trouser in high-twist wool. Sharper than ponte, more breathable than most cotton alternatives, and versatile enough to move between blazers and formal suits.
Blues
Navy
The navy trouser is one of the most versatile items in a working wardrobe. Cut in high-twist wool, it holds its shape and color through repeated wear without feeling heavy in warmer seasons.
Blue
A medium blue with more presence than navy – for those who want color without being loud about it. Strong with white and grey combinations for formal days.
Warm Neutrals
Brown
Brown trousers carry a different authority than grey – earthy, precise, slightly unconventional. Exceptional paired with khaki, olive, or cream above.
Tan
A warm sand tone that reads as confident in warmer seasons. Often paired with white or pale blue shirts and a dark blazer for a clean, considered look.
Additional Colors
Light Gray
A pale, cool gray that works particularly well in warmer seasons. Light enough to feel fresh in summer without reading as casual.
Beige
A neutral between tan and white – understated in a way that works year-round. Particularly versatile for those who rotate a single trouser with multiple jackets.
Pattern Options
Black With Grey Stripes
A chalk stripe on a black ground – the most formal of the pattern options. Reads as sharp in the presence of a plain blazer, and adds structure to a fully coordinated suit combination.
Black With Self Stripes
A tonal self-stripe woven into the black ground – visible only at close range, absent from a distance. For those who want texture without obvious pattern.
Red and additional seasonal colorways are also available – select at checkout from the full fabric menu. All 34 acetate lining options are available for the trouser interior. The lining runs to the front knee – the correct construction for a breathable performance trouser that maintains shape through the day. Choose your lining at checkout alongside your fabric.

Common Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
What exactly is high-twist wool and why does it resist creasing better than regular wool?
High-twist wool is defined by how the yarn is made, not how the fabric is labeled. In standard woolen yarn, fibers are twisted together under low tension. In a high-twist yarn, that tension is significantly increased – the fibers are wound tighter, storing more energy. When woven into an open-weave structure, the result is a cloth that physically springs back against compression rather than accepting it. The open weave also creates air channels through the cloth, making it breathable in warm conditions. This structural performance does not degrade over time – it is not a chemical finish, it is the construction of the yarn itself.
What is the free test trouser and how does the process work?
Before we cut your high-twist wool, we make a test trouser in a matching mid-weight cloth cut to your initial measurements. You try it on at home and check the seat, rise, thigh room, and break length. If anything needs adjustment, you notify us and we refine the pattern before your wool is touched. The test trouser ships in 3 to 4 weeks from order. Your final trouser ships 3 to 4 weeks after you confirm the fit. The test trouser is yours to keep at no additional charge.
What measurements do I need to provide and how do I take them?
Your measurements are entered directly through the customizer on this product page. The guide on the page walks you through each measurement step by step. No email exchange is needed to begin – everything is captured at checkout. If you are unsure how to take a specific measurement, the sizing guide provides clear instructions for each one.
Can the trouser balance and seat be adjusted if the test trouser is not right?
Yes – and this is exactly why the test trouser exists. Trouser balance, seat height, thigh room, and rise are structural properties set in the pattern. They cannot be corrected through standard alteration once a garment is finished – a tailor can only work at the seam edges. Most people do not realize this when they buy off-the-rack trousers and have them altered. The test phase exists so that all structural elements are confirmed and refined before any final fabric is cut.
Are these trousers suitable as summer or year-round work pants?
High-twist wool in the Super 130s grade is one of the best year-round professional fabrics available. The open-weave structure breathes well enough for warm-weather office environments, while wool’s natural temperature-regulation properties make it comfortable in air-conditioned settings. Many tailoring houses use high-twist wool specifically for clients who need a single trouser that works across seasons. For very hot climates or outdoor summer wear, a linen or lighter tropical wool might be preferred – but for professional office and travel use year-round, this construction performs exceptionally.
How long does the full order take from payment to final delivery?
The test trouser ships in 3 to 4 weeks. After you confirm the fit, the final trouser ships in a further 3 to 4 weeks. Total time from order to final delivery is approximately 6 to 8 weeks. If you have a specific event or travel date, we recommend ordering at least 8 weeks in advance to allow comfortable time for any pattern adjustments.
Does Baron Boutique ship internationally?
Yes. We ship worldwide by trackable courier. Shipping costs and estimated delivery times are calculated at checkout based on your delivery address. Both the test trouser and the final garment ship to the same address unless you specify otherwise at checkout.
Why is the trouser lined only to the knee rather than fully lined?
Acetate-lined to the front knee is the correct construction for a performance dress trouser. Full lining traps heat through the lower leg and restricts the natural movement of the cloth. Lining to the knee provides the practical benefits – a smooth slide when putting on the trouser, protection of the cloth against friction at the thigh – without compromising breathability below the knee. It is also the standard used by tailoring houses that build trousers to perform and last, rather than trousers built to feel substantial on a hanger.

Men’s Trouser Fit Guide
How Men’s Trousers Should Fit
Trousers are where ready-made forces the biggest compromise. A waist that fits means a seat and thigh that pull, or a seat that fits means a waistband you have to cinch. Trousers made to your measurements remove that trade-off entirely. You choose the leg shape and the fit, we cut the waist, seat, thigh, rise, and length independently to your body, and a free test garment confirms it on you before your final cloth is cut.
A pair that truly fits is one you wear on repeat and keep reaching for long after, not something you tolerate for a season. This guide covers the four fits we offer and where trousers should sit so yours feel right the day they arrive and years down the line.
Step One
Choose your fit
Slim
Trim through the seat, thigh, and leg, tapering to the ankle for a sleek, modern line that works cropped or full length.
Standard
A clean, even line with a little room through the seat and thigh. The most classic and versatile fit, the easiest to dress up or down.
Relaxed
More room through the seat, thigh, and leg for comfort and movement, with an easy, contemporary drape that still looks intentional.
Athletic
Cut for a built lower half, with extra room through the seat and thigh and a trimmer waist, so muscular legs fit cleanly with no pulling or strain.
Step Two
The fit checkpoints
Waist
The waistband sits comfortably where you like to wear it, snug without digging in, and stays put without a belt straining to hold it. Because it is cut to your waist, you avoid the usual cinch or gap.
Seat & thigh
The trousers skim your seat and thigh cleanly, with no pulling and no horizontal strain lines. This is exactly where off-the-rack fails and custom cutting wins, because the seat is cut independently of the waist.
Rise
The rise, how high the trouser sits from crotch to waistband, is cut to you, so it sits at the height you prefer without pulling low or riding high. Tell us where you like your trousers to sit.
Length & break
You choose the length: a full break resting on the shoe, a light break with a single soft fold, or a clean cropped ankle. Every hem is cut to your leg and your shoe height.
Every pair is made to your measurements, in the leg shape and fit you choose, with the waist, seat, and rise cut independently for a true fit. A free test garment confirms it before your final cloth is cut, and it is yours to keep.
Your Worries, Answered
The doubts most men have, and why you can relax
Trousers never fit my waist and my seat at the same time. Am I just an awkward shape?
You are not, ready-made is the problem, not your body. Off-the-rack trousers are cut to one fixed waist-to-seat ratio, so if yours is different, either the waist gaps or the seat and thigh pull, whatever size you buy. We cut your waist and your seat independently to your own measurements, so both fit at once, and the free test garment proves it on your body before the final pair is made.
I have never bought trousers I could not try on first. How do I know they will fit?
Because you do try them on first. We make a free test pair in a stand-in cloth to your measurements and post it to you. You put them on, sit, walk, check the waist, rise, seat, and length, and send us notes and photos. Only once you are happy do we cut your final fabric, so the finished trousers are a fit you have already approved.
I am nervous I will measure the waist, seat, or rise wrong.
You do not have to be exact. Our guide walks you through each measurement, a friend or a local tailor can help, and if you are unsure you can send your best numbers. The free test garment is there to catch anything slightly off, we see the fit on your body and adjust, so a first-try measurement is completely normal.
I always end up paying a tailor to alter every pair. Will this be different?
Completely, because there is no size to fall between. You send your measurements, we cut to them exactly, and the free test garment confirms the fit, so you receive trousers that are already right rather than a compromise you have to pay to fix afterwards.
It feels like a lot for one pair of trousers. Is it worth it?
Trousers that finally fit your waist and seat get worn constantly, while the ill-fitting pairs sit unused, so a proper pair usually costs far less per wear over its life. Nothing final is cut until you have approved the fit, so you are not gambling, and a pair cut to you and made well stays comfortable and sharp for years, not one season.
Will I still be reaching for these in a few years, or is it a one-off?
These are made to become a staple. We cut a timeless shape in quality cloth with real seam allowances, so they keep their line and can be adjusted as you change. Most men find a well-fitting pair turns into the trousers they wear more than any other, and years on they still feel right. That is what owning them, rather than just buying them, looks like.
What if my weight changes later on?
Your finished trousers are made with seam allowances, so a local tailor can take them in or let them out at the waist and seat within reason if your shape shifts. And we keep your measurements on record, so ordering another pair that fits is simple whenever you want one.
