How to Wear a Draped Scarf: Four Ways, Step by Step

The Open Drape
Hold the scarf open at full width behind your back and let it fall over both arms. As a draped shawl it moves with you and shows the sheer weave in light.

Care
Caring for a Light-Colored Cashmere Scarf
Hand wash in cold or lukewarm water with a mild detergent or wool wash, soak for 8 to 12 minutes, press the water through without wringing, rinse in cool water and dry it flat on a towel out of direct sun. Strong sunlight fades bright colors over time, so dry and store it in the shade.
Yellow shows makeup and marks at the neckline more than dark colors. Dab marks with cool water as soon as you see them, before they set. For storage, fold it clean with cedar or lavender.
The open weave can catch on rings, bracelets, zips and bag straps. If a thread pulls, ease it back from the other side with a blunt needle. Never cut it.
