- Stand straight and look forward in a relaxed position.
- Wrap the measuring tape around the base of your neck where a shirt collar would naturally sit.
- Keep the tape level all the way around.
- For comfort, leave space for one finger between the tape and your neck.
Shoulder Width
Across the Back
- Stand naturally with shoulders relaxed — do not pull them back.
- Measure from the edge of one shoulder to the edge of the other shoulder across your back.
- Follow the natural curve of the shoulders for an accurate measurement.
- Keep the tape flat and do not measure too high near the neck.
Desired Sleeve Length
- Stand straight with your arm relaxed in a natural posture.
- Start measuring from the edge of your shoulder where the sleeve seam would sit.
- Measure down your arm to where you want the sleeve to end.
- Keep the tape following the outside of the arm and avoid bending the elbow.
Chest Circumference
- Stand up straight with your arms relaxed at your sides.
- Wrap the measuring tape around the fullest part of your chest, typically right under your armpits.
- Keep the tape parallel to the floor.
- The tape should be snug but not tight enough to restrict breathing.
Stomach Circumference
- Stand up straight with your arms relaxed at your sides.
- Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your stomach — usually above the waistband and around the belly button area.
- Keep the tape parallel to the floor.
- Hold snug but do not compress the skin.
Hip Circumference
- Stand with your feet together and your body relaxed.
- Wrap the measuring tape around the widest part of your hips and seat.
- Keep the tape level and parallel to the floor all the way around.
- The tape should be snug, allowing room for one finger for comfort.
Wrist Circumference
- Relax your arm and keep your hand in a natural position.
- Wrap the measuring tape around your wrist bone — where a watch would sit.
- Keep the tape snug but not tight.

- Stand straight wearing a well-fitting trouser or in a natural posture.
- Start from the top of your waistband where you normally wear your trousers.
- Measure down the outside of your leg to your desired trouser hem length.

Where Your Trousers Sit
- Identify the exact position where you normally wear your trouser waistband — typically just below your navel.
- Measure around your bare waist at this exact point, keeping the tape level and parallel to the floor.
- Stand in a relaxed, natural posture. Do not suck in or push out your stomach.
- The tape should be snug but not tight — you should be able to place one finger between the tape and your body.
Hip Circumference
- Stand with your feet together and your body relaxed.
- Wrap the measuring tape around the widest part of your hips and seat.
- Keep the tape level and parallel to the floor all the way around.
- The tape should be snug, allowing room for one finger for comfort.
Thigh Circumference
- Stand with your feet slightly apart and your weight evenly balanced.
- Start at the top of your inseam, near the crotch area.
- Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your thigh.
- Keep the tape snug with room for one finger to avoid measuring too tight.
Trouser Leg Opening
Hem Width
- Lay a well-fitting pair of trousers flat on a table or smooth surface.
- Smooth out the fabric so there are no wrinkles at the hem.
- Measure straight across the bottom hem from one edge to the other (flat width).
- Do not measure around the full opening — this measurement is taken flat across.
Rise
Crotch to Crotch
- Stand straight in a relaxed posture.
- Start measuring from the back waistband where you normally wear your trousers.
- Bring the tape between your legs and up to the front waistband.
- Keep the tape close to the body for an accurate rise measurement, without pulling it too tight.

Can’t think of any better of a way to start this review than to simply agree with others here, this is a great Tennant suit. Personally I have to firstly applaud the overall cut of the suit which keeps very true to that of David’s original. Secondly it’s features are a true commitment to screen accuracy, i’m particularly fond of how the hip pockets on the jacket open by putting your hand behind the flap as they did on the original, rather than my lifting the flap like you would do with your average conventional suit. The gorge is also great as well, as it’s large enough to allow you to show off plenty of the large selection of beautiful ties that featured throughout 10’s run (Something that i’ve found isn’t always achieved with some of the cheaper suits available, resulting in the oppose effect).
All in all i’d definitely recommend it as one of the first options to consider if you’re looking to put together a 10th doctor cosplay. Sure the pricetag may be big, but as is always the case with these things you get what you pay for. A very nice looking and SA Tennant suit that also looks great when worn with the rest of the costume too.

Absolutely fantastic suit.
A brilliant choice for anyone looking to dress up as the 10th Doctor. I ordered this back in may to wear to a wedding. I needed the suit fairly quickly for this event, and Baron was very willing to help and even managed to get the suit delivered to me about a week earlier than expected.
I haven’t got a bad thing to say about this suit or the service. First off, the suit pattern is a great match for the one used on screen. Every detail has been replicated very well from the pockets to the way the pinstripes line up on the collar. Everything about it seems incredibly well made and of very high quality. The brown cotton material used matches incredibly well and responds the same way under different lighting as the original, and the screen-printed pinstriping looks great and seems very durable, something I was a little concerned about before buying. The colour is a little more vibrant than the original suit, however, this isn’t too noticeable and does not detract from the look of the suit.
The suit fits perfectly and is very comfortable to wear. Baron Boutique was very helpful in making sure I got the measurements right as I had a lot of anxiety about this beforehand. Their test garment service is a major help in ensuring your suit fits properly and really sets them apart from other companies. I only had a few small issues with my measurements which Baron worked with me to sort for the final suit.
Communication was excellent right the way through.
In summary, this suit is brilliant and I could not be happier with it, I cannot recommend it enough, especially given the price. It far exceeded my expectations, which were high to begin with. I would definitely consider using Baron Boutique again in the future.

Absolutely Beautiful Craftmanship
I cannot sing Baron high enough praises. I have worked with them in the past, with amazing results, but this time, they’ve really outdone themselves. I needed the suit made fairly quickly for an upcoming event, and not only were they willing to work with me, they actually managed to finish the entire suit nearly 20 days early!
The test garment was a godsend, as my measurements had some crucial errors, which they happily corrected in the final product.
And wow, the final product is gorgeous! I’m a massive stickler for minute details, and I have to say that Baron has exceeded my expectations at every turn. Everything from the pockets to the stitching is nearly 100% screen accurate, which is frankly unbelievable given the price. The color and pattern of the fabric is also spot-on, which was a huge concern of mine going in. Fans of the 10th Doctor, look no further.
Shipping was bonkers. I received an email stating that the final suit was in transit, and FedEx delivered the package in less than 24 hours. Unreal.

One of the best things about ordering from Baron Boutique was the ease of mind the fitting garment gave. When the test suit came in, there was an issue with the underarms being a bit tight. This was noted and quickly corrected by them for the final product with their awesome correspondence, which they kept with me every step of the way during production.
Once the final suit came in, it fit perfect and looked even better! On top of the exceptional quality of the finished product, the fitting garment is such a great service they give that I can’t overstate the importance of it enough!

Having bought a cheap 10th Doctor suit (brown with yellow stripe) some years ago I realised during a rewatch that the suit David Tennant wore was actually brown with BLUE stripes (just the quality of photos seemed to turn the stripes yellow!)
Having looked around and read reviews, plus having had excellent service from Baron when I bought a Brown 7th Doctor Jacket, I placed my order with Baron sending my measurements (self measured). It seemed like no time at all before I was advised that a test suit was on the way to me to try on and check the fitting. A few small adjustments were felt necessary and these were relayed back to Baron. The customer service was exemplary. Four weeks later the full suit turned up and it was perfect! Whilst waiting for the suit to arrive I had been researching the various outfits worn by David Tennant and had gathered ties, shirts and Converses. With the arrival of the suit I could now cosplay around 15 different combinations from various episodes featuring the brown suit. The quality of the finished product was superb and the fit was exactly right.
Throughout the ordering, manufacturing and delivery there was a steady stream of communication between Baron and myself and there was never a moment I felt things were giving me cause for concern.

Bought this to wear at the Gallifrey One Doctor Who convention this past year. I was in abit of a time crunch, so I let Baron know and they rushed to get it done on time. Arrived earlier than I even expected it to. Nowhere else have I ever been treated this well nor felt more valued as a customer.
In terms of the suit itself, it fits like a glove. Has that perfect tapered yet slightly baggy look that the original suit had. As customary for their company, Baron first sent along a “test garment” to ensure that the fit was exact. When the suit finally arrived, I was over the moon with how perfect it came out. Wonderful and perfect product
I bought this for my 16 year old son for just normal use and cosplaying whenever he goes to any comic conventions and this suit is amazing, from screen accuracy to overall comfort it is great! Of course it’s not all screen accurate just from the breast pocket on the left for the pinstripes and the pinstripes not woven and just printed but that shouldn’t stray you away from buying this product and I’m thinking about buying the blue one next for my son, so overall this is a great product!
