- Lay a well-fitting pair of trousers flat on a table or smooth surface.
- Smooth out the fabric so there are no wrinkles at the hem.
- Measure straight across the bottom hem from one edge to the other (flat width).
- Do not measure around the full opening — this measurement is taken flat across.

- Stand straight in a relaxed posture.
- Start measuring from the back waistband where you normally wear your trousers.

We use 100% pre-washed linen – the same cloth worn by architects and diplomats across equatorial climates for generations. Pre-washing removes the stiffness that makes most linen jackets feel boardlike in their first season. Yours arrives already broken in, soft against the skin, and ready for long evenings.

What does “unlined” mean, and why does it matter in a linen jacket?
An unlined jacket has no fabric layer sewn into the interior. In a linen jacket this is especially important because it eliminates the trapped-heat layer that a lining creates. The result is a jacket that feels noticeably lighter and cooler to wear, which is the whole point of choosing linen in the first place. You can also see and feel the construction directly – the hand-stitched armholes, the seam allowances – which is a mark of a well-made garment.
What does “unstructured” mean in a blazer?
Structured blazers have internal chest pieces, shoulder padding, and stiffeners that hold the jacket in a rigid shape even when you are not wearing it. Unstructured blazers have none of that.
