Men’s grey pinstripe pants should do one thing well: make the person wearing them look like they own the room. That only happens when the stripe falls straight, the break lands right, and the waist sits where it should. Off-the-rack trousers rarely do all three for any one person. Baron builds yours to your exact measurements, from Super 150s merino wool, before a single inch of cloth is cut for your final pair.
Super 150s is a fineness grade. The higher the number, the finer the yarn, the crisper the hand, and the sharper the drape. Most department-store dress pants run between Super 100s and Super 110s. Ours are Super 150s – the grade where pinstripes hold their graphic clarity through a full workday, where the fabric moves with you rather than bunching at the knee, and where a quality dry cleaner can maintain the cloth for years.
The fabric weight is 9 ounces – light enough for year-round wear in a climate-controlled office, heavy enough to drape with authority rather than clinging to the leg.

Men’s grey pinstripe pants are a specific garment with a specific job. They belong in boardrooms, on the floor of banking floors, at formal dinners, and on the kind of person who wants their trousers to do the serious work of looking authoritative so the rest of their outfit does not have to try so hard.
The Finance Professional
You wear trousers five days a week. You know what Super 150s feels like after 6pm versus Super 100s. You want trousers that hold their line all day and look as sharp leaving the office as arriving.
The Man with a Non-Standard Build
Long inseam, short rise, athletic thighs, narrow waist. Off-the-rack trousers require alterations that can never fully fix a wrong cut. These are drawn to your measurements from the start.
The Suit Separates Buyer
You want grey pinstripe trousers that work as a standalone piece – with a navy blazer, a white shirt, no jacket. The stripe and the cloth quality carry enough weight to make that work.
The Special Occasion Buyer
A wedding, a gala, a job interview that matters. You want one pair of trousers that does what it is supposed to do on the day, not trousers you crossed your fingers about at purchase.
The pinstripe is unforgiving. A trouser that does not hang straight, where the stripe twists at the knee or bags at the seat, looks worse than no trouser at all. This is why every Baron order includes a complimentary test pair built in an inexpensive fabric before we cut the wool.
You try the test pair at home. You tell us what needs adjusting. We fix it in the pattern, then build your final pair. The test pair is yours to keep. This is the only honest way to guarantee fit for a customer ordering from overseas.

What is the difference between grey pinstripe pants and grey pinstripe pants?
None at all – “grey” is American English spelling and “grey” is British English spelling for the same color. Our trousers are available in grey-based pinstripe options including grey with faint blue pinstripes, grey with dark blue bold stripes, grey with bold white rope stripes, and light grey with bold pink stripes. All are the same product, same quality, same price – just different stripe patterns.
Can I order just the trousers, or do I need to buy a full suit?
Just the trousers. This is a standalone product – you choose your stripe, your lining color, enter your measurements, and that is your order. If you want matching trousers for a suit jacket you already own or are ordering separately, message us first and we can ensure the fabric selection is compatible.
What does “acetate-lined to the front knee” mean?
It means the interior lining runs from the waistband down to approximately the front knee, covering the thigh area. This prevents the wool from wearing against your skin, which extends the life of the fabric. It also helps the trouser slide on and off more easily and gives the front a clean, smooth drape. The back of the leg is unlined, which keeps the trouser from overheating.
How does the free test pair work?
You enter your measurements on this product page when placing your order. We build a test pair in an inexpensive cotton fabric to those measurements and ship it to you by trackable courier. You try it on at home and check the waist, rise, thigh, knee, and break. You tell us what needs adjusting. We update your pattern and then cut your final pair from the Super 150s wool. The test pair is yours to keep at no extra charge. This step happens before we touch the fine wool.
Can I choose the fit – slim, regular, or relaxed?
Yes. Because every pair is made to your measurements, the silhouette is defined by you. If you want a slim cut through the thigh and a tapered leg, note that when ordering. If you prefer a classic straight cut or more room through the seat, note that too. We accommodate the full range from contemporary slim to traditional cut. Add your preference in the order notes and we confirm before production.
What is Super 150s wool?
The “Super” number refers to the fineness of the wool fiber – the higher the number, the finer the thread, and the smoother and lighter the finished cloth. Super 150s is a fine-grade worsted wool used in quality tailoring. It has a crisp hand that holds the pinstripe sharp and resists creasing better than a lower-grade fabric. At 9 ounces, it is light enough for year-round indoor wear while still draping with the weight and authority that a pinstripe trouser requires.
How long does the whole process take?
Plan on 6 to 9 weeks from order to final pair in your hands. The test pair takes roughly 2 to 3 weeks to make and ship. Once you confirm the fit, the final pair takes another 4 to 6 weeks in production. If you have a specific deadline – a wedding, an event, a start date – message us before ordering and we will tell you honestly whether we can meet it.
What stripe colors are available?
Thirteen options: Grey with faint blue pinstripes, Black with red pinstripes, Charcoal with red pinstripes, Navy with red pinstripes, Charcoal with red stripes, Black with bold white rope stripes, Black with red bold stripes, Blue with white bold rope stripes, Charcoal with bold white rope stripes, Grey with bold white rope stripes, Grey with dark blue bold stripes, Light grey with bold pink stripes, and Off-white with black bold stripes. All are the same price.
Do you ship worldwide?
Yes. We ship to the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Singapore, Japan, and many other countries via a trackable courier. Delivery is typically 3 to 7 business days once your final pair is complete. The test pair ships to the same address first.
