Jacket Measurements
Suits, Blazers, Shirts, Vests & Coats
Desired Jacket (Garment) Length
Shoulder to Hem
- Stand straight in a natural posture with your arms relaxed at your sides.
- Start measuring from the top of your shoulder, right next to the base of your neck.
- Measure straight down along the front of your body to where you want the jacket to end.
- Keep the tape straight and do not curve it around the body.
Neck Circumference
- Stand straight and look forward in a relaxed position.
- Wrap the measuring tape around the base of your neck where a shirt collar would naturally sit.
- Keep the tape level all the way around.
- For comfort, leave space for one finger between the tape and your neck.
Shoulder Width
Across the Back
- Stand naturally with shoulders relaxed — do not pull them back.
- Measure from the edge of one shoulder to the edge of the other shoulder across your back.
- Follow the natural curve of the shoulders for an accurate measurement.
- Keep the tape flat and do not measure too high near the neck.
Desired Sleeve Length
- Stand straight with your arm relaxed in a natural posture.
- Start measuring from the edge of your shoulder where the sleeve seam would sit.
- Measure down your arm to where you want the sleeve to end.
- Keep the tape following the outside of the arm and avoid bending the elbow.
Chest Circumference
- Stand up straight with your arms relaxed at your sides.
- Wrap the measuring tape around the fullest part of your chest, typically right under your armpits.
- Keep the tape parallel to the floor.
- The tape should be snug but not tight enough to restrict breathing.
Stomach Circumference
- Stand up straight with your arms relaxed at your sides.
- Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your stomach — usually above the waistband and around the belly button area.
- Keep the tape parallel to the floor.
- Hold snug but do not compress the skin.
Hip Circumference
- Stand with your feet together and your body relaxed.
- Wrap the measuring tape around the widest part of your hips and seat.
- Keep the tape level and parallel to the floor all the way around.
- The tape should be snug, allowing room for one finger for comfort.
Wrist Circumference
- Relax your arm and keep your hand in a natural position.
- Wrap the measuring tape around your wrist bone — where a watch would sit.
- Keep the tape snug but not tight.
- Leave room for one finger between the tape and your wrist for comfort.
Trouser Measurements
Trousers, Dress Pants & Shorts
Trouser Length
Waistband to Hem
- Stand straight wearing a well-fitting trouser or in a natural posture.
- Start from the top of your waistband where you normally wear your trousers.
- Measure down the outside of your leg to your desired trouser hem length.
- Keep the tape straight and do not measure diagonally.
Trouser Waist
Where Your Trousers Sit
- Identify the exact position where you normally wear your trouser waistband — typically just below your navel.
- Measure around your bare waist at this exact point, keeping the tape level and parallel to the floor.
- Stand in a relaxed, natural posture. Do not suck in or push out your stomach.
- The tape should be snug but not tight — you should be able to place one finger between the tape and your body.
Hip Circumference
- Stand with your feet together and your body relaxed.
- Wrap the measuring tape around the widest part of your hips and seat.
- Keep the tape level and parallel to the floor all the way around.
- The tape should be snug, allowing room for one finger for comfort.
Thigh Circumference
- Stand with your feet slightly apart and your weight evenly balanced.
- Start at the top of your inseam, near the crotch area.
- Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your thigh.
- Keep the tape snug with room for one finger to avoid measuring too tight.
Trouser Leg Opening
Hem Width

- Lay a well-fitting pair of trousers flat on a table or smooth surface.
- Smooth out the fabric so there are no wrinkles at the hem.
- Measure straight across the bottom hem from one edge to the other (flat width).
- Do not measure around the full opening — this measurement is taken flat across.
Rise
Crotch to Crotch
- Stand straight in a relaxed posture.
- Start measuring from the back waistband where you normally wear your trousers.
- Bring the tape between your legs and up to the front waistband.
- Keep the tape close to the body for an accurate rise measurement, without pulling it too tight.

Blazer Fit Guide
Blazer Fit Guide
The fit of your custom blazer defines its look and comfort. Your test garment will reflect the room and structure you choose here. Use this guide to select the fit that best matches your body type and style preference.

Slim Fit
Modern and tapered for a close-to-the-body silhouette.
Best for: A lean build and those who prefer a sharp, modern look that closely follows the body’s lines.

Standard Fit
A timeless, comfortable fit with moderate room for movement.
Best for: An average build or for a classic, all-purpose business style. This is our most popular, versatile choice.

Relaxed Fit
Our most generous fit, with extra room throughout the chest and waist for maximum comfort.
Best for: Those who prioritize comfort over a tapered look, or for body types that require more room in the midsection.

Athletic Fit
Specifically designed for a V-shaped torso.
Best for: Broader shoulders and a larger chest, combined with a distinctly narrower waist. This cut prevents the jacket from being too tight in the shoulders or too loose at the waist.

All the stars
Quality is amazing, communication was fantastic, the fact that they sent out a “test jacket” first blew my mind – you don’t get that anywhere else! And good thing they did because the measurements I initially sent were way off and thankfully due to their great communication we were able to get it solved and I couldn’t be happier with the results.

Seven out of Five!
This jacket is a must have for any Seventh Doctor fan, everything about it is spot on and it’s practical too with fully functioning pockets deep enough to keep your valuables in if you’re running about like a mad hatter at comic-con. The jacket is great for casual wear too as it is light weight and the material is thin so it would be perfect for those warm days.
The customer service was out of this world too I was kept updated each step of the way and Raj was very helpful and attentive. If you’re sitting there still unsure as to buy the jacket just do it, you won’t regret it!
I have bought a few items from Baron over the years and none of them have disappointed, they have all been high quality and always fit perfectly.

Seven is a lucky number!
I ordered this jacket back in January 2015 and received it in February which was a superb turnaround. As it is now five years since purchase, it is high time I reviewed it!
The jacket was a perfect fit and looked amazing as part of my 7th Doctor cosplay. Over the years since I have upgraded other parts of the cosplay but the jacket has never needed to be replaced because it is perfect. Despite numerous cosplay outfits this one seems to be the most popular wherever I go. Comments are always very positive about this outfit and the jacket is responsible for much of that. It came with interior pockets, which was a bonus as many cheaper alternatives do not have this feature, and the lightweight material of it’s construct makes it very wearable on a hotter day without feeling too warm (considering the Doctor wore a shirt, tank top, tie, scarf and hat!)
Highly recommended to anyone wishing to cosplay the 7th Doctor, or simply as a superb summer jacket.

The level of customer service added with the quality of the coat made me enjoy this product extremely. Definitely would buy from here again.

Unlimited Brilliance!
WOW! What can I was totally blown away by the level of detail and the quality of this jacket when I first received it, kudos to Baron for making a top quality product I enjoy stepping out in it every time and it always gets positive comments.
Floppy Lion –
So good, I bought a second one!
I have just received delivery of my second 7th Doctor jacket (a stone one) as since buying my original dark brown one two years ago its appearance at conventions as part of a 7th Doctor cosplay always gets good comments (including some from cast and crew involved with the TV programme itself) and as a regular attendee of 1940s events, it also makes a dapper summer-weight jacket that fits right in!
My second jacket has been cut a bit more loosely to fit with the look of the original and is of a light material that means you won’t get (too) hot at a summer convention when also wearing a tank-top. Having read one of the reviews below, I also requested internal pockets which the brown one doesn’t have (not a major issue since you have 4 external pockets!) Baron Boutique and the team are easy to deal with and are able to turn around a bespoke item very quickly.
I feel it’s worth paying to have this jacket custom made as not only can you ensure a great fit, but the extra accurate details (like the 4 pockets and the belt across the back) help it to stand out as an excellent cosplay item.

Great Quality – Great Service
Very impressed with the customer service, and impressed with the test jacket service you receive to make sure everything is correct size wise.
The jacket is great quality and is pretty much an exact replica from the original, a few tiny differences but nothing that stands out or is worth worrying about. There are far far worse replicas out there.
I love this Jacket and love wearing it, even at home.
Brian (verified owner) –
Fantastic, lightweight replica
I own both the beige/grey and the dark brown version of this jacket. All of the details appear to be completely accurate or very, very close to what can be seen on screen from Season 24-26 of Doctor Who, and it matches detailed photos taken of the Seventh Doctor coat at the Doctor Who Experience.
The dark brown coat was bought ‘standard’, and I have been very happy with it for the last three years.
For the light coat, which was ordered this year, I had a pair of large inside pockets added, and a different grey fabric with a lot more beige in it used to match the color of the Experience coat which is a perfect match to BTS photos taken during Time and the Rani.
Both coats are made very well with care taken on all of the interior seams, lining, shoulder pads, and pockets so that it sits correctly. The weight of the fabrics are really matched to the original so it flaps around when running in a similar way, and it’s a nice breathable fabric so it isn’t oppressively hot when wearing with a lurid pullover.
Highly recommended for a Seventh Doctor outfit – and nicely made enough that I’ve used it daily as a light summer jacket.
