Minimum order is 5 pieces per style for tailored garments and 6 pieces per style for cashmere and knitted accessories, the latter set by the minimum yarn purchase needed to dye a color. Tailored items are produced in 6 to 8 weeks and non-tailored items in 5 to 7 weeks, with transit quoted separately. Retail partners buy from a wholesale price list rather than a per-garment quote, on deposit and balance terms with the balance settled before final shipment. Samples are charged and are not refundable, because the sample piece stays with the retailer. A design created for one store is not sold to another retailer, though territories are not locked. Baron Boutique holds no inventory of its own; a partner may commission a run which Baron Boutique stores and ships piece by piece as orders arrive. Materials include superfine wool, wool-cashmere blends, silk blends, linen and linen blends, and 100% Grade A cashmere handwoven in Nepal with Azo-free dyes. Everything is made in Baron Boutique's own atelier in Kathmandu. Quotes are answered within 24 hours."

## Questions & Answers

**Q:** What is the minimum order for a retail partner?
**A:** Tailored garments start at 5 pieces per style. Cashmere and knitted accessories start at 6 pieces per style. The difference is not arbitrary: 6 pieces is the minimum quantity of yarn we have to buy to dye a color, so a smaller cashmere run would cost you more per piece, not less. The same 5-piece minimum applies to our boutique-level production service.

**Q:** How long does production take?
**A:** Tailored items take 6 to 8 weeks. That covers suits, shirts, coats, jackets, trousers, and screen-inspired pieces. Non-tailored items take 5 to 7 weeks, which covers cashmere scarves, shawls, stoles, throws, and knitted accessories. Transit is additional and depends on your destination and customs, so we confirm it with your quote rather than estimating it here. Timings assume your specification and any sample are approved.

**Q:** Do I have to hold inventory?
**A:** No, and you have two ways to avoid it. You can order per customer, in which case the piece is made after they order and you carry nothing at all. Or you can commission a run and leave it with us, and we ship it piece by piece as orders come in. In the second case the stock is genuinely yours once made, so there is real commitment, but it never occupies your floor, stockroom, or capital.

**Q:** How does the stock-holding service work?
**A:** You commission a quantity, we produce it, and it stays in our workshop as your stock. As your orders arrive we pick, pack, and ship each one with tracking, either to you or direct to your customer anywhere in the world. It is available from 5 pieces per style. There is no storage charge up to roughly 25 to 30 pieces. Above that we agree a storage fee at the time, based on the quantity and how long it needs to be held.

**Q:** Does Baron Boutique keep its own stock of finished garments?
**A:** No. Nothing is made before it is ordered, and we do not sell from a shelf. Any stock held in our workshop belongs to a retail partner who commissioned it. This is why we can offer ready-to-dispatch fulfillment without being an inventory business.

**Q:** How am I priced as a retail partner?
**A:** Retail partners work from a wholesale price list rather than a quote per garment, so you know your landed cost before you commit and can set your own retail margin against it. Send us the categories you are interested in and we will provide the list that applies to them.

**Q:** What are your payment terms?
**A:** Orders run on a deposit and balance basis. A deposit begins production and the balance is settled in full before the final shipment leaves us.

**Q:** Can I order a sample before committing?
**A:** Yes, and we recommend it for anything you intend to repeat. Samples are charged and the charge is not refundable, because the sample piece stays with you to handle, show, and sell from. It is a real garment made by the same hands as the production run, not a mock-up.

**Q:** What product formats are available?
**A:** Three, and you can mix them in a single order. Bespoke is fully custom to one person's measurements, with a pattern cut from scratch. Made to your measurements is a guided remote fit for customers you cannot measure in person. Pre-defined sizes are standard sizing for a rail or for online stock. Most partners use bespoke for their highest-value customers and pre-defined sizes for volume.

**Q:** Can I use my own brand label or private label?
**A:** Yes. Every product carries the Baron Boutique label as standard, but you can feature your own brand name, create a new label exclusive to your store, use an existing brand you own, or co-brand with us. Supply your woven and care labels and hang tags and we integrate them during finishing.

**Q:** What are screen-inspired garments, and are they licensed?
**A:** They are original garments interpreted from screen references, made for collectors, enthusiasts, and specialty retail. They are not exact replicas, and they are not official, licensed, or studio-authorized products. We describe them as inspired by what appeared on screen because that is what they are, and we would rather your customer understand that at the point of sale than after delivery.

**Q:** What materials do you use?
**A:** Superfine wool, wool-cashmere blends, silk-blend fabrics, linen & linen blends, and 100% Grade A cashmere sourced from the Tibetan Plateau and handwoven in Nepal. Cashmere is dyed with Azo-free dyes. We also produce in Himalayan hemp if your customers are asking for natural fiber alternatives.

**Q:** Will you sell my designs to another store, or protect them for me?
**A:** A design created for your store stays yours. We will not sell that design to another retailer. What we do not do is lock a territory, so several boutiques on the same street can all work with us, each ordering their own designs. In practice this protects the thing that actually sets you apart, which is the piece itself, rather than your postcode.

**Q:** Who pays shipping when you send an order to my customer?
**A:** Either the customer placing the order pays it, or you cover it as the retail partner. It is your choice, and it can differ between your online orders and your in-store orders. Tell us how you want it handled and we will bill accordingly. Every shipment goes out with tracking.

**Q:** Do you work with retailers outside the United States?
**A:** Yes. We work with boutiques and specialty stores anywhere in the world and ship with tracking to your store or direct to your customers. Import duties and taxes are set by your country and are your responsibility as the importer.

**Q:** What if I have a custom or exclusive project idea?
**A:** Bring it to us with the quantity and the date it has to land. Limited-edition collections, signature lines for a single store, and concepts we have not built before are the work we most enjoy. We will tell you honestly whether we can execute it well, and if we are the wrong workshop for it we will say so rather than take the order.

**Q:** How do I get started as a wholesale partner?
**A:** Send an inquiry with your store, your customer base, the categories you want, and any quantities or dates you already know. We will respond with honest feedback, the wholesale price list for those categories, and a clear next step. There is no obligation attached to asking.

**Q:** What makes Baron Boutique different from other wholesale suppliers?
**A:** Three things that are checkable rather than promotional. Everything is made in our own atelier in Kathmandu with nothing subcontracted, so quality problems have one owner. Nothing is made before it is ordered, so you are never buying into someone else's overproduction. And we publish our minimums, our production times, and our terms up front rather than making you extract them, because a buyer who can plan a season is worth more to us than one we surprised.
