## Summary

Made to your exact measurements, this bespoke grey wool suit is crafted from luxurious Super 160s worsted wool that feels smooth, breathable, and comfortable throughout the year. Built using traditional tailoring methods that focus on structure, shape, and lasting quality, each suit is made as a one-of-a-kind piece. Your order includes a complimentary full test suit, allowing the fit to be perfected before the final garment is made. Available in 7 colors from $719.

A grey wool suit is the most useful garment a man can own. Not the most exciting - that would be the velvet dinner jacket or the chalk stripe. But the most useful. It works for interviews and board meetings, for weddings and funerals, for first dates and ten-year anniversaries. The question is not whether to own one. The question is whether the one you own actually fits. Most don't. Baron builds yours to your exact measurements, from Super 160s worsted wool woven at the Vitale Barberis Canonico mill in Biella, Italy, before we cut a single inch of your final cloth.

Free Test Suit - Why We Do It Before Every Order
Super 160s is not a forgiving fabric. The finer the wool, the more precisely a jacket needs to be cut for the cloth to drape correctly. A chest that pulls slightly, a shoulder that sits a fraction too wide - on a heavier fabric these problems are less visible. On Super 160s they are not. This is why we will not cut your VBC cloth until the fit has been confirmed on a test garment. Every Baron order begins with a complete test suit in cotton, built to your measurements and shipped to you by trackable courier. You try it on at home. You tell us what needs adjusting. We fix the pattern, then cut your final suit in the wool. The test suit is yours to keep.

Who This Suit Is For
This is the suit for the man who wants one suit that does everything correctly. Not the suit that makes a statement - that is the velvet jacket or the chalk stripe. This is the suit that makes everything else look right.
- The Professional Building His Wardrobe: You need a grey wool suit that works for every professional occasion without thought or preparation. One that fits well enough to wear to a client meeting, a job interview, or a board presentation and look exactly right …
- The Man Who Has Never Owned a Suit That Fits: You are a 40 Regular in the shoulders and a 36 in the waist. Or you have a long torso and short arms. Every suit you have owned has been wrong in at least one way.
- The Wedding Guest or Groomsman: You need to look right in photographs and feel comfortable for eight hours. Medium grey or navy in Super 160s worsted does both.
- The Fabric-Informed Buyer: You know what VBC means. You know the difference between Super 120s and Super 160s. You have worn fused jackets and canvas-front jackets and understand the difference in hand and drape.

Choose Your Color, Lining and Fit
Select your fabric color from seven options and your acetate lining from 34 choices. Choose slim, standard, relaxed, or athletic silhouette. Enter your measurements directly on this page. No emails, no appointments.

We Build Your Free Test Suit
Before we cut your VBC cloth, we build a complete test suit - jacket and trousers - in an inexpensive cotton fabric to your measurements. This is your fitting stage, and it happens before we touch the final wool.

You Try It On at Home
The test suit ships to your door by trackable courier. You try it on and check the chest, shoulders, waist, seat, and trouser break. If anything needs adjusting, you tell us exactly what.

We Correct the Pattern
We update your pattern with every adjustment. The test suit is yours to keep. Nothing moves to production until the fit is confirmed.

We Cut Your Final Suit
Super 160s VBC wool, cut to your corrected pattern. Canvas front, hand-stitched armholes and shoulder pads. Hand-finished buttonholes. Buttons reinforced by hand. Typical production time is 4 to 6 weeks.

Trackable Worldwide Shipping
Your finished suit ships by trackable courier. Delivery is typically 3 to 7 business days once complete. We ship worldwide.

## Questions & Answers

**Q:** What is Vitale Barberis Canonico and why does it matter?
**A:** Vitale Barberis Canonico is an Italian wool mill based in Biella, a region of northern Italy that has been the center of European fine textile production for centuries. The mill has been operating since 1663 and is currently run by the thirteenth generation of the same family. VBC supplies fabric to many of the most respected tailors and suit houses in Europe. When a suit is described as using VBC cloth, it means the fabric was woven at that specific mill to their quality standards - it is a verifiable origin claim, not just a marketing label. Super 160s from VBC specifically refers to a fine-grade worsted wool with a luminous surface quality and a smooth, precise drape.

**Q:** What does Super 160s mean and how is it different from Super 120s or Super 100s?
**A:** The Super number refers to the fineness of the wool yarn. The higher the number, the finer the individual fibers, the smoother the fabric surface, and the more precise the drape. Super 100s is a good working wool - durable, reliable, used in quality ready-to-wear. Super 120s is finer, with a noticeably softer hand. Super 160s is finer still - the grade where the cloth has a luminous quality under light, where the surface feels smooth rather than textured, and where the drape is sharp and precise. The trade-off at higher grades is that finer wools require more careful handling and are less forgiving of poor fit - which is exactly why the free test suit process matters more, not less, at this quality level.

**Q:** How does the free test suit work?
**A:** When you place your order, you enter your measurements on this product page. We build a complete test suit - jacket and trousers - in an inexpensive cotton fabric to those measurements and ship it to you by trackable courier. You try it on at home, check the chest, shoulders, waist, seat, and trouser break, and tell us anything that needs adjusting. We update your pattern and then cut your final suit in the Super 160s VBC wool. The test suit is yours to keep at no extra charge. This is how we guarantee fit for customers ordering from the USA, UK, Australia, Germany, Singapore, or anywhere else in the world.

**Q:** What colors are available and which should I choose?
**A:** Seven colors: Light Grey, Medium Grey, Dark Grey, Midnight Blue, Steel Grey, Navy Blue, and Black. All at the same price. For a first wool suit, medium grey is the most versatile choice - it works for business, weddings, and formal events without reading as too dark or too light. Dark grey or navy are stronger choices for a professional wardrobe where you want authority. Light grey is best for warm-weather formal occasions. Midnight blue is the most sophisticated choice for evening events - it reads as black under artificial light but reveals depth in daylight. Black is correct for black-tie optional events but limited in daytime versatility.

**Q:** What fit options are available?
**A:** Four silhouettes: slim (close to the body, contemporary), standard (classic tailored cut with comfortable room), relaxed (more volume throughout, easier movement), and athletic (built for broader shoulders and chest with a tapered waist). Because every suit is made to your measurements, you are not choosing a standard size - you are defining the amount of ease around your body. For a classic grey wool working suit, standard or slim are the most appropriate. Athletic is the right choice if you have a noticeably V-shaped upper body and have found that standard-cut jackets always pull across the back.

**Q:** Is this suit appropriate for weddings?
**A:** Yes. A grey or navy wool suit in Super 160s is appropriate for almost any wedding dress code from smart casual through to black tie optional. Medium grey is the most versatile wedding choice - it works as a guest at any dress code and as a groom at a less formal ceremony. Dark grey or navy photograph well under both natural and venue lighting. If the wedding has a strict black tie dress code, black is the correct choice. The fabric weight and quality are appropriate for a full wedding day - the suit will hold its shape and drape correctly from ceremony through to the last dance.

**Q:** How long does the whole process take?
**A:** Plan on 6 to 9 weeks from order to final suit in your hands. The test suit takes 2 to 3 weeks to build and ship. Once you confirm the fit, the final suit takes 4 to 6 weeks in production. If you have a specific date - a wedding, an event, a first day at a new job - tell us when you order and we will confirm whether we can meet it. We will not promise a deadline we cannot keep.

**Q:** Do you ship worldwide?
**A:** Yes. Both the test suit and the final suit ship by trackable courier to your address anywhere in the world. Delivery is typically 3 to 7 business days once each piece is complete. Customers in the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Singapore, Japan, and many other countries order regularly.
